A show record app for poultry exhibitors
Coop Companion keeps a show log for APA and ABA exhibitors: every show, class, variety, and placing, with the points you earned totaled per bird, right next to the pens and pedigrees those birds came from.
What the show log records
Each show gets one record: its name, date, location, and sanction (APA, ABA, both, or unsanctioned) plus your notes. Under it, you add an entry for every bird you showed: the bird from your roster, its class and variety, its placing, the points that placing earned you, and any judge's comments worth keeping.
Coop Companion then adds up the points you entered for each bird and shows a running total across every show you've logged, so you can see at a glance which birds are carrying your record.
How points totals work (honestly)
The APA and ABA set their own point values and title thresholds, and those depend on the meet and how many birds were in the class. Coop Companion does not calculate official points for you and is not affiliated with either organization. You enter the points from the show report or the club's tally, and the app totals them per bird so you can track your progress toward titles like Master Exhibitor.
Always confirm your official standing with the APA or ABA. Our guide to the APA/ABA exhibitor award programs explains how the points system works and links to both organizations' current rules.
From breeding pen to Champion Row to buyer
Show birds come out of breeding programs, so the show log sits next to the rest of your records: breeding pens, hatch runs with fertile counts and hatch rates, and lineage and pedigrees. When a bird places, that placing lives with the bird, not on a separate sheet.
Turn on a bird's public pedigree page and its pedigree and show placings get a shareable link you can paste into a sale listing. When you sell hatching eggs or birds, the sales ledger keeps buyer records and exports NPIP-ready paperwork.
What it costs
The hatch tracker is free forever: one active hatch with candling and lockdown reminder emails timed to your species, one breeding pen, a flock roster, an egg log, and 4-H export. The Show plan is $8/mo or $69/yr and includes everything in Breeder (unlimited pens and hatches, hatch-rate history, the NPIP-ready sales ledger) plus the show log.
Show plan

Frequently asked questions
- Is there an app to track poultry show points?

- Does Coop Companion calculate official APA or ABA points?
- No. Point values are set by the APA and ABA and depend on the meet and class size, so you enter the points from the show report and Coop Companion totals them. Confirm your official standing with the APA or ABA.
- Does it work for ABA bantam shows?
- Yes. Each show can be marked APA, ABA, both, or unsanctioned, and entries work the same way for large fowl and bantams.
- Can I record the variety each bird was shown in?
- Yes. Every entry stores the class and variety alongside the placing and points. Points are totaled per bird.
- Can I share a bird's show record with a buyer?
- Yes. Turn on a bird's public pedigree page and you get a link that shows its pedigree and its show placings, which you can paste into a sale listing.
